This piece is a timeline that contains a present moment. The past and the future are lingering, but are a silent beating pulse. The present moment is cradled, calm in its silence. The knot is inside, tangled and confused, but it is shielded from the outside. The knot is quiet for a moment. The present moment can be seen as an illusion because as soon as the present happens, it is gone, already in the past. In the creation of the object there is calm, and I can continually have that same moment while I look at the object. The object is permanent and as time pushes forward, our exchange is continual, while in contact with each other, allowing a calm reflective present moment.
